This past Saturday I was able to attend Beerology at the Buffalo Museum of Science! It was such an amazing time, I fear I won’t be able to put it words. But, I’ll do the best I can.
Since this was my first time attending I wasn’t entirely sure of what to expect. Honestly the event exceeded all my expectations. I was able to meet some different people from numerous breweries, other beer enthusiasts, and enjoy some great beers in good company. With such a large group, I wasn’t at all surprised we couldn’t stick together. Bob and Blaine did their thing as they always do. Most of my time was spent with my best friend Zak, though at times we were also with my in-law Nat and Josh.
Though I knew most of the breweries there, we were fortunate enough to try some new beers and met some great new people. Keeping in mind I was going to be writing this blog I brought along my travel notebook for my beer notes. In spite of this, I did hit a certain point in the night where I lost track. Who could blame me? The beers were delicious and seemed to be endless. I’m sure I wrote down most of them.
Disclaimer: This is not going to be like a normal Brewview, just some quick notes of the beers I enjoyed.
Big Ditch Brewing Company
Cannon Call DIPA: Exploded with tropical flavors concentrating mostly on citrus and grapefruit( Check our Brewview 40 for a more in-depth look)
Low Bridge: A delicious golden ale presenting some nice hop flavor. Deep flavor and easy to drink.
Flying Bison Brewing Company
Spot Coffee Imperial Stout: A coffee explosion brewed with Spot Coffee beans. If you desire a stout that is pure coffee this is your beer!
Resurgence Brewing Company
Citmo: A delicious juicy IPA, hazy as it is delicious! Flowing with notes of citrus and grapefruit. A very refreshing beer! (Check out Brewview 11 for a more insight)
Community Beer Works
Interrobang IPA: A delicious IPA combining citrus, dank pine, and peach with perfect bitterness.
42 North Brewing Company
Illumination Pilsner: A delicious crisp golden pilsner!
Ellicottville Brewing Company
BlackBerry Kolsch: A delicious kolsch that combines a wheat beer and fruit! Looks as appealing as it is refreshing. (Brewview #42)
Thin Man Brewing Company
Monkey Boodle: A very refreshing fruit sour. Strong fruity notes with a delicious sour bite.
Pressure Drop Brewing Company
Pitted Patter: A subtle red IPA. Crisp with some malt. Perfect for St. Patrick’s Day
12 Gates Brewing Company
Landing Strip: A delicious tropical and citrus IPA. I really enjoyed this one! (Brewvie#37)
Buffalo Brewing Company
1815 Triple Dry Hopped DIPA: Delicious and dangerous! Loved the dry hopped nature of this beer!
1910 Czech Pils: A delicious and smooth golden Pilsner! Most likely my favorite Pilsner at the event.
Saranac Brewing Company
S’mores Porter: A delicious porter that tastes exactly like it’s name!
Pink Boots Society
This is not a brewery but a local group of women that come together to inspire and encourage each other in the beer industry. The Buffalo Chapter originated in 2018.
Pillow Fight: A dry hopped cream ale with notes of citrus, stone fruit, and floral. Interestingly delicious!
I believe that is it, like I said I may have missed some due to a slight buzz and good time. If so I apologize.

I love learning more about the awesome beers and breweries Buffalo has to offer. Well, I love everything about Buffalo in general, but especially the fact that it has become such a hot spot for breweries. There’s so many that I’m excited to try, and you gave me some great ideas. PS – the event at the museum sounded super fun too! Great post as always 🙂
